When it comes to CBD-infused product options, there are an endless array of CBD oils, tinctures, infused salves, creams, lotions and more. You can buy them online, at specialty product stores, or even at a gas station, grocery store or mall kiosk. And if you’re new to CBD, there is another factor to consider – the option of CBD Isolate or Full Spectrum.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Many people don’t know where to start!
The Difference Between CBD Full Spectrum and Isolate Products
A whole plant extraction of hemp contains beneficial properties such as cannabinoids, flavonoids, fatty acids and terpenes. A full spectrum product will include all of these, inviting the “entourage effect”, where the whole plant properties work together on your behalf.
While CBD is the most famous hemp cannabinoid, there are over 100 more also present in hemp, including THC (THC levels are 0.3% or less to comply with Federal regulations).
For those who are concerned about ingesting any product with THC for personal reasons, we recommend a CBD Isolate product. All other plant compounds are removed, offering exclusively CBD as the active ingredient.
The Stratos Difference
Our mission at Stratos is to create products that help people. Our team of formulation experts, the magicians behind our products, spent many years in the pharmaceutical world. When they felt their goal of helping people was far from the pharma space, they quickly exited.
Before our team spends months developing a product, they spend time at the drawing board. Our research found that tablets, tinctures and topicals are efficacious options for rapid onset, longevity, and body receptivity. And because health and safety are top priorities, all of our products are sugar-free and gluten-free, and our topical products are paraben-free. Our products also follow many of the same guidelines you’ll find on pharmacy shelves and contain safe, high quality ingredients.
To help with your product selection, here is a highlight of the benefits and details of three key delivery methods.
Tablets:
This option is portable, discreet, reliable, convenient and long-lasting. Unlike infused food products such as gummies, which may require 90 minutes to take effect, tablets have an onset of 15-30 minutes and can last up to 8 hours.
Tablets can be halved or quartered to accommodate dosing needs. Be sure to take the tablets with a fat source (such as a spoonful of peanut butter) to experience the maximum benefits. Cannabinoids are fat soluble so they need to bind to a lipid to absorb into the body.
Stratos tablets are available in Full Spectrum 300 (30 tablets of 10mg each), Full Spectrum 750 (30 tablets of 25mg each), Isolate 300 (30 tablets of 10mg each), and Isolate 750 bottles (30 tablets of 25mg each).
Tinctures:
For a fast-acting option, tinctures can take effect in less than five minutes and last 3-4 hours. Sublingual absorption is up to 10x faster than first pass digestion absorption (anything that you chew and swallow). Just place the tincture under your tongue, wait 30 seconds, then swallow. The tincture is quickly absorbed and heads straight to the bloodstream.
Stratos tinctures are created with hemp-derived CBD oil and MCT oil and are available in 500mg and 1000mg quantities for Full Spectrum or Isolate.
Topicals:
If you’re looking for an option that targets a localized part of the body, such as your back or legs, then a topical salve is perfect. Our CBD salves are infused with six essential oils, shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax, so it’s like a big hug for your skin. Massage the salve wherever you need it, and feel the benefits within minutes.
We offer two topicals with 500mg each, available in Full Spectrum or Isolate.
